Cindy Meraz, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

There are times when for various reasons we may feel that our life is turned upside down to the point that we feel we will never be able to get through the situation we are in. My goal is to provide a space of security and acceptance that will help you overcome the challenges you may be facing to achieve your life goals.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a M.A in School Counseling as well as an M.A in Elementary Education. During this time, I have worked with a diverse student population as well as their families. I provide a space that is LGBTQIA+ affirming. I am also fluent in both English and Spanish.

Clinical Focus

I currently lead counseling groups and provide individual counseling to children and adults struggling with anxiety, anger management, depression, divorce, grief, self-harm, mood disorders, relationship and parenting issues.I use evidence-based techniques that promote positive change such as cognitivebehavioral therapy and person-centered therapy to create a customized treatment planthat works for you.

Therapeutic Approach

My goal as a therapist is for individuals to set clear and realistic goals while exploring the root causes of any concerns. During this process I hope to create an environment that will provide individuals with the necessary tools and strategies that will lead them to make positive changes for their long-term well-being.

Since I have an interest in reproductive and perinatal mental health, I am expected to complete the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) in the Spring of 2025.

I am currently under the supervision of Rachel Hill, PsyD, PMH-C
